Fast Playblast for Maya
The problem:
When animating you may need to take a lot of playblast during the process, having to hide certain elements and hovering over menus is a cumulative waste of time, and no more "making a playblast on the wrong camera".
This script is meant to create a fast, temporal playblast for animators that that can be set up in a hotkey.
This playblast automatically hide HUD elements, grid, manipulators, camera, objects highlighting before creating a playblast and restore them after.
It has 2 functions, can make a playblast on the current active window, or it can create a playblast on your specified camera (the default is renderCam) this way you can hotkey your playblast while your active window is "persp" and it will correctly playblast your desired camera with desired settings, with out the elements you don't want to see on a playblast, with out disrupting your workflow.
Works on Maya 2022 (python3), 2023, 2024, 2025
A one click button on shelf or a hotkey setup to make temproary playblast hidding tipically undesired elements and using your prefered camera even when it's not your active viewport panel
